Well starting with pet quality...That sort of depends on the area you are in, I struggle to get $250 for pets here in Alabama, my friend in Georgia (Atlanta area) gets $400, I've seen upwards to $600- $1000 for an asking price on pet quality kittens - don't know if they get it....but, that's what they start at. With pets, it's really not the lineage, color, etc so much as what the market will bear in your area I believe.
Next easy one (sorta) Show quality, I don't believe if one doesn't show that they should even say a cat of their breeding is show quality - really how would they know?? A smushed face does not make a show quality cat. (I have no clue if you show or not - I'm just saying this in general terms)
So past that - there can be a huge price difference (in the US) I would say the average price of a show quality cat from a breeder that has proven themselves in the show hall, you are looking at $1500 to $2500+. The higher end of course being catteries that have produced a number of good show quality cats and have proven it by granding or better at shows.
(another point to look at - if you were say, buying a show quality cat, is...Have OTHER people granded or better the cats they have gotten from this cattery)
Then breeder/ show - or breeder/low show, meaning the cat has no disqualifying features could be championed, may be hard to grand champion but, the lineage would make it good breeder quality. $800 - $1500.
So there is a bit of a difference in pricing that has to do with where you are and a lot to do with who you are.
There are a few other factors that can change pricing, in show or breeder quality cats - and that would be things like visual chocolate or lilacs, since there isn't as many of them, likewise with smokes, silvers, goldens. They are hard to find - and hard to find good quality, cuz if they are really good.....the breeder keeps them! Another is the selling of a proven (meaning has sired or given birth to healthy kittens) is titled (be that grand champion, RW or NW or DM, BW) that would also effect pricing.
So that's sort of a ball park figure on some pricing - be it selling or buying a cat
